Ingredients
 
 

 

For average 12 meatballs:

300g sausage meat

2 eggs

chives/ parsley

salt, pepper

For the sandwiches:

4 rolls

½ red onion

parsley

tomato sauce or ketchup

125g mozzarella

Wash and chop the fresh herbs. Mix the meat, herbs, eggs, salt and pepper. 

Take small amounts of the mixture and roll into ping-pong ball sized balls. 

Flatten the balls and arrange them next to each other in a large frying pan. Cook the meatballs over medium heat until golden brown.

Turn them over and finish cooking.

Open the rolls without splitting completely.

Garnish with tomato sauce or ketchup then arrange 3 meatballs per sandwich.

Cut small pieces of mozzarella and place them in between the still warm meatballs.

Add the chopped herbs and half of the chopped onion. Enjoy!
